Ce qui vaut pour un prélèvement effectué dans le cadre d’un devoir de solidarité entre hommes, peut-il également servir d’argument à l’appui d’une transplantation de l’animal vers l’homme ? Peut-il exister une solidarité entre espèces et, si oui, comment en justifier le « déséquilibre » au profit de l’homme ? La question première est de déterminer quelle est la légitimité du prélèvement. Mais il convient de ne pas oublier la perspective de l’homme, fût-elle poussée dans son absolu, en se demandant si la greffe, au regard du respect de la dignité et de l’identité humaines est, elle aussi, légitime.
