Promoting peace with the Earth and the rights of future generations through the Normandy Chair of Excellence for Peace

with Émilie Gaillard

Normandy Chair of Excellence for Peace

The Normandy Chair of Excellence for Peace was created on the occasion of the second Normandy World Forum and aims to promote a culture and research excellence on the issue of the rights of future generations and peace with the Earth. It has several interrelated research themes that focus on the study of systemic changes in fundamental rights and legal systems to protect the future, the integrity of the human species, animal life and the integrity of the Earth’s ecosystem. An important work of scientific diplomacy is carried out on the theme of climate justice in connection with a global youth movement on the subject as well as research work on the theme of the rights of indigenous peoples.
