This webinar will first outline Dr. Danieli’s multidimensional, multidisciplinary integrative framework of victim/survivors’ adaptation to trauma and its aftermath.  It will then describe the creation of the Danieli Inventory of Multigenerational Legacies of Trauma, an evidence-based three-part measure that both assesses multigenerational legacies of trauma and allows international, multi-populations comparisons. First validated on offspring of survivors of the Nazi Holocaust in North America and in Israel, Dr. Danieli will present and discuss the complex findings that emerged and their rich applicability to research, prevention, treatment and policy, including to Rights of Future Generations.

Dr. Yael Danieli, a clinical psychologist, pioneer traumatologist and psychohistorian, founded (2018) the International Center for the Study, Treatment and Prevention of Multigenerational Legacies of Trauma: icmglt.org  Founder/Director, the Group Project for Holocaust Survivors and their Children since the mid1970s and cofounder (1985) and Past President (1988-9), International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Studied, treated, published, consulted worldwide, including in South Africa, Rwanda, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Northern Ireland, on life-long and multigenerational post-trauma adaptation and training for working with massively traumatized victim/survivor populations. The Danieli Inventory for Multigenerational Legacies of Trauma allows scientifically valid assessment and comparative international study. As a victimologist and expert on reparative justice, she participated in creating all international instruments on behalf on victims’ rights and optimal care, including ICC, and appointed Advisor on Victims of Terrorism for the office of the UN Secretary-General (2008).
