Early in 2021, there was a move to remove Environmental Law as an “mandatory elective” course in the Philippine law curriculum.
Upon our initiative, with my former Environmental Law student Galahad Pe Benito, we wrote a petition to the Legal Education Board. We had it signed by other concerned lawyers.
Instead of removing Environmental Law, the Legal Education Board has now made it a mandatory/required subject in the Law Curriculum of all Philippine Law Schools.
