In memoriam Mireille Delmas-Marty

“I cherish Mireille Delmas-Marty, honorary professor at the Collège de France and a leading public servant in criminal law reform efforts. As an academic, Mireille has been a pioneer in the conceptualization of pluralism and global law. Her work figured prominently in my general course on public international law at the International Academy in The Hague. In recognition of her many achievements, the American Society of International Law awarded Mireille Delmas-Marty its “Prominent Woman in International Law” award. Mireille Delmas-Marty was loved by her students and by her many friends. She leaves a beautiful legacy. “

Edith Brown Weiss University Professor, Georgetown University. Past President of the American Society of International Law.
