Yann Aguila is Professor at Sciences Po Paris and partner in a Law Firm (Bredin Prat). Prior to joining the bar, he was judge at the French Administrative Supreme Court, the Conseil d’État. He teaches Public Law and Global Environmental Governance.
He is one of the initiators of the Global Pact for the Environment project, in his capacity as Chairman of the Environment Commission of the Think Tank « Le Club des juristes ». He coordinated the work of an international network of some one hundred experts who drafted a first draft of the Pact. He heads the Global Pact Coalition, an NGO accredited to UNEP, which aims to promote the international recognition of environmental rights and duties.
He is the author or co-editor of numerous books and articles, such as « A Global Pact for the Environment: Legal Foundations », « Droit public français et européen » or « Principios de Derecho Ambiental y Agenda 2030 ».
