Luiz Ugeda

Lawyer and Geographer. He is Ph.D. in Geography at the University of Brasília (Brazil, 2015) and Ph.D. candidate in Law at the University of Coimbra (Portugal). He has a master’s degree in Law (2009) and another in Geography (2010) both from the Catholic University of Sao Paulo (PUC/SP). He is president at Geodireito, in Brasilia; lawyer at Porto Advogados, in São Paulo; president of Law & Geography commission at Brazilian Bar Association from Sao Paulo State (OAB/SP) and researcher at GOVCOPP – Research Center in Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies at the University of Aveiro (Portugal). He has acted: (i) in Government, as Minister’s Advisor at Civil Aviation Secretariat (SAC/PR, Brasilia) and at the Brazilian National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL, Brasilia); (ii) in institutions, as Governmental Affairs Director at Highway Concessionaires Association (ABCR, Sao Paulo) and Legal Counsel at the Brazilian Association of Electric Energy Concessionaires (ABCE, Sao Paulo); (iii) in law firm, as a partner of the Demarest e Almeida Law Firm (Brasilia) and at Ugeda Sanches Advogados (Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro); (iv) in companies, as attorney and specialist in regulatory issues at Inframérica S.A. (Brasilia and Natal airports), AES Eletropaulo (Sao Paulo, Power) and Light (Rio de Janeiro, Power); and (v) in universities, as professor of Law at the Candido Mendes University (Rio de Janeiro).
