Françoise Thibault

Initially a specialist in literature and cinema, Françoise Thibault has combined textual approaches with a sociological approach, becoming a researcher in information and communication sciences in the early 2000s. All of her scientific work focuses on the understanding of phenomena related to digital development. Committed to action, she worked for several years at the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESRI). She was at the origin of several national programs: Campus numériques, Canal-U, Educasup, Formasup, BSN, COLLEX… She supported the development of Revues.org, worked on the launch of PERSEE and HAL SHS. She is the author of the first national strategy in the field of research infrastructures for all scientific disciplines. She joined the Athena alliance as general delegate in January 2013.
