Carly Hopkins

Carly Hopkins is a 2L pursuing an environmental law certificate at Elisabeth Haub School of Law. Carly has always wanted to center her career around the environment. She has B.S. in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences with a minor in Environmental Law and Economics from the University of Illinois. Her time in undergrad exposed her to international environmental groups and projects, which eventually led to her current work at law school with the Global Center for Environmental Legal Studies. Her goal is to one day work in government or an environmental organization to advance sustainable, broad-scale environmental initiatives – particularly involving climate change and water conservation. This past summer Carly got exposure to working in government while interning for N.Y. State Senator Kaminsky and the N.Y. Senate Environmental Conservation Committee. She looks forward to continuing her legal career in the environmental field.
